If you would split the brain right down the middle into two symmetrical, or equal parts, you would have a right and left hemisphere. Although equal in size, these two sides are not the same, and do not carry out the same functions. The left side of the brain is responsible for controlling the right side of the body. It also performs task that have to do with creativity and the arts. On the other hand, the right hemisphere coordinates the left side of the body, and performs tasks that have do with logic such as with science and mathematics. Both hemispheres are connected by the corpus callosum and serve the body in different ways .

Homeopathy dramatically more effective at preventing and treating whooping cough than allopathic medicine

Homeopathy dramatically more effective at preventing and treating whooping cough than allopathic medicine
by Carolanne Wright on Natural News

Living in a toxic world isn't easy, but we can protect ourselves with a bit of knowledge and awareness. Vaccination is a prime example. Concoctions of poison, vaccines are linked with autism, seizures and death. Astoundingly, the CDC is the biggest cheerleader of these harmful jabs even when they have been shown to be ineffective. And now, more are being pushed onto the public due to the recent outbreak of whooping cough (pertussis) that is raging across the U.S. A solution for this insanity can be found with homeopathy -- an exceptionally safe and successful remedy for infectious disease.
Dangerous vaccines peddled by the CDC to the detriment of health
Believe it or not, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not hold health and well being as a top priority. It is yet another governmental agency with special interests, bowing down to big pharma and the mighty dollar. The CDC actively advocates vaccination, regardless of effectiveness or health risks. This is seen with the recent resurgence of whooping cough in the U.S. The CDC recommends an increase in pertussis vaccinations even though a majority of those who contract the disease have already been vaccinated. Not only is the vaccine a failure, but it is also extremely unsafe, carrying "one of the highest risks of dangerous side effect of any childhood shot," as stated in Vaccinations: The Rest of the Story.
Homeopathy - A safe alternative

Instead of risky vaccines, homeopathy offers a nontoxic and highly potent alternative for the prevention and treatment of whooping cough.

In the book, Homeopathy in Epidemic Diseases, Dr. Dorothy Shepherd demonstrates the effectiveness of homeopathy. For years, Dr. Shepherd worked closely with an immunization clinic and witnessed first hand how unsuccessful vaccines were in preventing infectious disease. She also observed the dangers associated with vaccination. In an attempt to find a better solution, she purchased a copy of Dr. Clarke's monograph about the nosode of whooping cough (Pertussin). Shepherd's "...eyes were opened to the possibilities of cutting short an epidemic of this dread disease."

Dr. Shepherd found that homeopathy was successful in preventing pertussis and mitigating the severity of an attack. In one example, four children contracted whooping cough and were treated with allopathic medicine. It took the children almost six months to recover and were "a mere shadow of their of former selves," according to Shepherd. Interestingly, other children living close by also contracted the disease, but were given small pills of Pertussin instead. Every child fully recovered within two weeks.

In another instance, "364 cases were given daily doses of Pertussin for two weeks after contact. Many of these cases were seen in the day nurseries under my care -- not one of these children [including newborns] developed the disease," notes Shepherd.

A five-year-old girl in a private school was also treated successfully with Pertussin. Dr. Shepherd reports, "Of the twenty-one children in her class, eighteen were infected with a severe type of whooping cough. Only three escaped -- two had whooping cough a year before, and the third was my little friend."

Thankfully, homeopathy offers a safe and effective alternative to toxic vaccines and harmful infectious disease like pertussis. Further information about how to protect yourself from whooping cough with homeopathy can be found here.

The Role of Niacin in Detoxification

The role of niacin in detoxification

Niacin opens blood vessels wider. Niacin, when used properly, offers benefits in terms of cholesterol reduction, as well as for detoxification. People with high cholesterol levels should see improvements once their follow the proper diet of raw foods, preferably through a good juicing program, along with the proper healing fats in their diet. However for people who don't respond, it would seem that niacin would be a far safer and less expensive alternative to the statin drugs, which have their serious complications.

Flush Out Chemicals With A Niacin Detox

Niacin Detox was an important part of the Purification Program developed by scientists by 1979 for releasing toxins from tissues. The program was developed as a result of research into methods of cleansing the body of drugs.

Niacin is Vitamin B3 and along with B1 and B2 is needed for the Phase 1 detox. Niacin, nicotinamide and nicotinic acid are all forms of Vitamin B3 but niacinimide plays no part in detoxification.

Niacin is needed for energy production, proper digestion, manufacture of hormones, gene expression, a healthy nervous system and healthy skin. We cannot do without it. A certain amount can be made in the body from the amino acid tryptophan, found in meat, dairy and eggs, if there is adequate B1, B2 and B6 but this does not supply our total needs.
Vitamin B3 is found in all organ meats, chicken, beef, salmon, tuna, wheat germ, green leafy vegetables, beans, peas, raw mushrooms, avocados, nuts, dried figs, prunes and dates. Processed food suffers from a loss of niacin.
Sometimes the term niacin detox is used to describe a program often used to lower LDL cholesterol without drugs.  Niacin can improve cardiovascular health and it is often used by doctors of alternative medicine and naturopaths as part of a program to reverse coronary artery disease. It can lower blood fats including cholesterol and widen the small blood vessels known as capillaries improving circulation.

The niacin detox I am talking about here is different. It bursts open fat cells ( lipolysis) to release chemicals or drugs that are stored in them. Many chemicals are stored in the fatty layers of your body. Once the toxins have been released they are detoxed from the body through the skin and intestines.

You may read some articles that say there is no scientific evidence that niacin can detox stored chemicals from the cells but the truth is that they have known that it works for some years but not exactly how.

Niacin is used in the Gerson Therapy for cancer.  Dr Gerson recommended 50mg six times a day for four to six months. He stated that Niacin helps to bring back sufficient glycogen into the liver cells. It also helps in protein metabolism, acts to open small arteries and capillaries and raises electrical potential in cells

Dr George Yu described the niacin detox program that he uses in his practice at the Longevity Now Conference held earlier this year

The dose for the niacin detox protocol varies from practitioner to practitioner but the program should include exercise and far infrared ( FIR) sauna.

Here’s a regime which should be followed for a month.

Niacin
Start by taking 50 mg a day with food and gradually build up the dose to at least 500mg. You can go up to 1000 mg a day if you think you are quite toxic. People with severe toxicity problems can take up to 5000mg but should be supervised by a health practitioner.
By gradually increasing the dose you will avoid the niacin flush. Niacin dilates the capillaries, increases circulation and releases histamine from cells which will cause the skin to flush, feel hot, make your heart pound and may cause you to itch. It can last for up to an hour but is not at all harmful.

When you continue to take niacin you develop a tolerance and will no longer flush. Don’t be tempted to take non-flush niacin and this will not have the same detox effect.

Exercise
Use a mini-trampoline ( rebounder)  for this. Jump on it for at least 10 minutes and preferably 20 minutes prior to using a FIR sauna. You may have to gradually build up your exercise time if you are not used to doing any. (Chi machine works very well.)

FIR Sauna ( or other heat source)
Spend 40 minutes if you can in a sauna built of environmentally safe materials. If you don’t tolerate heat well, have multiple chemical sensitivity or chronic illness then start out with 5 minutes and gradually increase the time by 5 minutes a day.

Wipe sweat from your body while in the sauna and follow it with a cleansing shower using neutral pH organic soap to wash off toxins from the skin. Be sure to wash your hair too. Wipe down the walls of the sauna and launder your towels as soon as possible in hot water because they will be laden with toxins that you have excreted from your body through the skin.

Drink 8 oz pure water for every 15 minutes you spend in the sauna to replace lost fluids.

Additional aids to detoxification

You can take Bentonite clay, activated charcoal, chlorella, psyllium seed or zeolite to help eliminate the toxins from the intestines.

A massage or other form of body work can help to relax muscles and increase circulation encouraging further cleansing.

A good detox diet that includes fresh vegetable juices, green smoothies and a large amount of fresh, raw and lightly cooked vegetables to help replace vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are needed for detox and repair of tissue damaged by the chemical toxins.
Long term intake of 2000mg ( 2 grams) or more a day may lead to side effects of nausea, vomiting, dizziness, flare up of gout, headache; heartburn, skin discoloration and raised liver enzymes in rare cases. These all disappear when therapy is stopped. Dr George Yu says that he never sees any permanent damage with doses up to 5000mg.

Niacin is a water-soluble B vitamin – vitamin B3 - and the common name for 2 very different compounds: "nicotinic acid" and "niacinamide". High doses of niacin (as nicotinic acid) can lower cholesterol levels (although the exact mechanism of action is still not known). The other form of niacin (nicotinamide or niacinamide) does not open blood vessels wider nor provide a cholesterol-lowering effect.

Niacin and detoxification of fatty tissues

There are many 'detoxification programs' on the internet, but few of them acknowledge the significant fact that many toxins are stored in FATTY TISSUES. Until that fact is acknowledged, one can not develop a procedure for removing toxins from THAT location.

Until the Ron Hubbard purification program was developed, no one had even yet recognized that these oil soluble toxins had such long-term effects in the body.
An important characteristic of the Hubbard detoxification program is the use of niacin. Niacin has the well-known effect of causing "vasodilation", often called the niacin flush, which is an opening of the small blood vessels, the capillaries, so that more blood flows through them. These are the blood vessels which are of most value in reaching fatty tissues. In this way the toxins which are stored in these fatty tissues can be removed, into the bloodstream, and processed out of the body. However, niacin is also made in the form of niacinamide - a form of vitamin B3 which, deliberately, is manufactured so that it will NOT cause dilation of the blood vessels - the flush so well known when using plain niacin. A detoxification program which features the use of niacinamide and also claims to improve blood circulation would be based on false science.
Some detoxification programs don't even recognize that the toxins they claim to be removing are stored in fatty tissues. The idea of removing these toxins by some procedure which does not include niacin is not practical.

The niacin "flush"

It's important to note that this niacin flush is not harmful or dangerous. Some people worry about it, but it is actually a sign of improved blood flow.
When you get the niacin "flush", it's an indication that the niacin is causing small blood vessels in your body to be expanded in size. Many of your small blood vessels, called "capillaries" are so small that blood cells can only go through them in single file. Sometimes, in fact, that small capillary passageway is clogged and blood doesn't get through at all.
Description: Description: niacin and capillaries
While the large organs of the body all have blood supplied from large arteries, a great deal of your body, particularly the parts near the skin, get their ONLY supply of blood (therefore also of oxygen and nutrients) from these small capillaries.
The niacin causes these small capilaries to expand - so they might be able to carry 2 or 3 blood cells at the same time. This is a tremendous increase in blood flow.
You experience this as a "flushing" of the skin, simply because there is more blood close to the surface of the body. As the blood flows in these areas, the cells of the small capilaries will also be getting rid of their waste products, and often they produce 'histamine' as part of this process. That histamine is another natural substance produced by every cell in the body when a cell is under attack, or is eliminating toxins. Histamine causes an 'itchy' feeling.

Cardiovascular benefits of niacin
The cardiovascular benefits of niacin have been studied in several major clinical trials (1-5). The primary cardiovascular measures such as cholesterol and triglyceride levelsstrokes and heart attacksare all significantly reduced with niacin therapy (sometimes used alone and sometimes used along with other drug therapy). Overall, the use of niacin (nicotinic acid, but not the other form called "niacinamide") to treat or prevent high levels of blood cholesterol and triglycerides and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease is well substantiated. In a large number of clinical trials, niacin has been shown to consistently lower total and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol - by about 20% - and triglycerides - by 10 to 25%, while increasing levels of HDL (“good”) cholesterol - by 15 to 25%.

Niacin safety

There are several precautions which one needs to implement however when one uses niacin. Niacin usually has a "flush effect" - which is not harmful - associated with it which is very similar to the hot flashes women experience during menopause. Niacin supplements are available in regular and “timed-release” forms. Timed-release versions of niacin have been made available to avoid this "flush" effect. The problem with most TIMED-RELEASED niacin is that they are associated with a high degree of liver problems.

The timed-release forms of nicotinic acid are intended for a prolonged release of niacin during its 6-8 hour transit time in the intestines, but timed-release niacin is also associated with greater toxicity and safe doses are only about half of normal-release forms of niacin.

In the high doses used for controlling cholesterol levels (anything above 100mg/day), nicotinic acid can cause skin flushing and skin itching as well as headaches, lightheadedness and low blood pressure. The niacinamide form of niacin does not cause these side effects, but it is not effective in reducing cholesterol levels, so it is seldom taken in such high doses. The slow-release versions of niacin supplements have the potential for causing liver damage (even at “lower” doses of 500mg/day) - so blood tests to monitor for liver damage are recommended and high-dose niacin supplementation should only be undertaken under the guidance of a natural physician. Anyone with liver disease, including those who consume more than 2 drinks of alcohol daily, should not take high-dose niacin.

Niacin is cheap, so its effectiveness in reducing cholesterol levels may be an inexpensive solution to reducing a known risk factor for cardiovascular disease. When monitored properly by a natural physician, niacin therapy can be almost as effective as the popular (and expensive) statin drugs for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Niacin may be the most cost-effective lipid-lowering agent currently available.

Niacin dosing is usually started at the low-end (100mg/day), with increasing doses of 250mg each week until blood lipid levels start to normalize (or side effects develop). Side effects are usually minimized by increasing the dosage slowly to the common therapeutic range of 1000-1500mg/day. Niacin doses should be divided into 2-3 separate daily doses, or no more than 500-750mg per individual dose).

Issues that contribute to Miscarriage: #1 BPA exposure during pregnancy raises miscarriage risk

Many issues contribute to Miscarriage: BPA exposure during pregnancy raises miscarriage risk

Many issues contributing to miscarriage:
1.   Possibly over Three Thousand Miscarriages: CDC Still Lying about H1N1 Vaccine Safety
2.   Antidepressants during pregnancy cause alarming 68 percent increased risk of miscarriage
3.   Vaccines and Pregnancy Do Not Mix
4.   Drinking Caffeine During Pregnancy Doubles Risk of Miscarriage
5.   Eating fruits and vegetables cuts risk of miscarriage, says study
6.   Chocolate found to reduce risk of miscarriage

The adverse reproductive effects of the plastics chemical bisphenol A (BPA) have once again been demonstrated in the scientific literature. Researchers from Stanford University in California found that the more BPA circulating in a pregnant woman's bloodstream, the greater her chances of having a miscarriage.

Among 115 pregnant women tested as part of the research, 68 had miscarriages, a percentage roughly three times higher than that of the general population. Upon further investigation, a direct correlation between BPA levels and miscarriage rates was observed, substantiating a growing consensus that BPA directly interferes with human reproduction.

According to Environmental Health News (EHN), all of the women had been admitted to Stanford's fertility clinic within four weeks of fertilization, and each was tested for BPA levels prior to treatment. The women were then divided into four groups based on their BPA measurements to evaluate the miscarriage rate.

Leading the pack was the group of women with the highest levels of BPA, who were found to be 83 percent more likely than the others to have a miscarriage. Women in the second- and third-highest exposure groups also bore high risks at 58 percent and 30 percent, respectively. At the bottom with the lowest miscarriage risk were women with low circulating BPA levels.

Though a causal link between BPA and miscarriage was not established by this particular study, the correlative findings are strongly suggestive of one. They also back earlier research tying BPA exposure to general infertility, including a 2013 study out of Massachusetts that identified increased difficulties getting pregnant among couples where BPA exposure was high.

"Couples suffering from infertility or recurrent miscarriages would be best advised to reduce BPA exposure because it has the potential to adversely affect fetal development," wrote the authors of the new study.
FDA ignores science, insists BPA is safe
With more than 90 percent of the general public now believed to be contaminated with BPA, these findings are definitely disheartening. Cases of infertility, miscarriage and birth defects are already on the rise due to other sources of environmental pollution, and adding BPA into the mix only makes the problem worse.

Data gathered last summer by researchers from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston found that BPA directly inhibits the normal development of human eggs. Providing further details as to how BPA obstructs normal human reproduction, the research, which was published in the journal Human Reproduction, showed that BPA decreases the likelihood that eggs will fully mature.

"Our data show that BPA exposure can dramatically inhibit egg maturation and adds to a growing body of evidence about the impact of BPA on human health," wrote Dr. Catherine Racowsky, one of the authors of this earlier study. "I would encourage further research to gain a greater understanding of the role BPA plays in infertility."

Further research has been conducted all across the globe, and much of it has come to similar conclusions. And yet the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in complete denial of science, remains insistent that BPA at current exposure levels is perfectly safe, a lie that continues to harm the public.

When the FDA recently issued its own study that claimed to prove BPA's safety for humans, many academic scientists were outraged to find that the controls used in the study were deliberately contaminated. As it turns out, both the controls and the subjects had been exposed to BPA, completely invalidating the FDA study.

"It's basic science," stated Gail S. Prins, a professor of physiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago to Mother Jones. "If your controls are contaminated, you've got a failed experiment and the data should be discarded. I'm baffled that any journal would even publish this."

ACNE It's in the food, its in the GUT.

By Dr. Mercola Nearly 85 percent of people have acne at some point in their lives, making acne the most common skin disorder in the US.1 While acne typically begins during puberty, it's not restricted to adolescents and may impact any age group – even into your 50s and beyond. While not physically dangerous, acne can take a considerable psychological toll. Some sufferers become so self-conscious and embarrassed that their professional and personal lives suffer, leading to increasing feelings of alienation, depression, and social withdrawal. Many mistakenly believe acne is mostly an aesthetic problem, but it is actually a sign of deeper imbalance in your system, often in your gut. Most physicians miss this connection entirely, instead prescribing acne drugs and other topical treatments. Americans spend more than $2.2 billion every year on acne treatments, including prescription and over-the-counter products,2 but many will turn out to be useless if you ignore the foundational cause of most acne – improper diet. Desperate to Clear Your Skin? Stop Eating Gluten and Grains Full-blown celiac disease, which is an extreme form of gluten sensitivity causing both the adaptive and innate immune system to attack your small intestine, affects an estimated 1.8 percent of people in Western cultures. But non-celiac gluten sensitivity may actually affect as many as 30 to 40 percent of the population, and according to Dr. Alessio Fasano at Massachusetts General Hospital, virtually all of us are affected to some degree.3 This is because we all create a substance called zonulin in the intestine in response to gluten. Glutinous proteins, found in wheat, barley, and rye, known as prolamines can make your gut more permeable, which allows partially digested proteins to get into your bloodstream that would otherwise have been excluded, any of which can sensitize your immune system and promote inflammation, which can contribute to worsening acne. Once gluten sensitizes your gut, it then becomes more permeable and all manner of gut bacterial components and previously excluded dietary proteins—including casein and other dairy proteins—have direct access to your bloodstream, thereby further challenging your immune system. If you have acne, you should try eliminating gluten and other lectin-containing foods, although I actually recommend that everyone following my beginner nutrition plan eliminate all gluten from their diets. Among the most important to avoid are those grains that contain the sticky, hard to digest prolamine proteins, such as wheat, barley, rye, and yes, even oats, rice, and corn. However, I don't recommend you stop there… Avoid All Grains (and Sugar) If You Have Acne While glutinous grains should certainly be eliminated if you struggle with acne, I recommend you avoid all manner of refined carbohydrates as well. Acne is much less of a problem in non-Westernized societies, where refined carbohydrates and sugar are consumed in much lower amounts.4 Diets high in sugar and refined carbohydrates are one of the primary causes of acne. When you eat grain carbohydrates and sugar/fructose, it causes a surge of insulin and insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1 in your body. This can lead to an excess of male hormones, like testosterone, which cause your pores to secrete sebum, a greasy substance that attracts acne-promoting bacteria. Additionally, IGF-1 causes skin cells known as keratinocytes to multiply, a process that is also associated with acne. Additionally, these very same foods -- refined carbs, such as fructose, sugar, and grains -- will also increase inflammation in your body, which may trigger acne, and at the same time they will also wreak havoc on the makeup of your intestinal bacteria, as mentioned above. In fact, in 2007 a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutritionfound that young men (ages 15 to 25) with acne problems who were placed on low-glycemic diets for 12 weeks showed significant improvements in acne and insulin sensitivity.5 Research published last year also found that a high-glycemic diet and frequent dairy consumption are linked to acne.6 Indulge in Vegetables, Limit Processed Foods to Control Acne Flare-Ups Any meal or snack high in refined carbohydrates (i.e. grains and sugars) will generate a rapid rise in blood glucose. To adjust for this rapid rise, your pancreas secretes the hormone insulin into your bloodstream. High blood sugar levels cause repeated surges in insulin and this causes your cells to become "insulin-resistant," which leads to the production of even higher levels of insulin, and, eventually insulin resistance, another key factor linked to acne. Prolonged excessive insulin secretion can also eventually burn out your pancreatic beta cells which produce it, leading to "double diabetes," a mixture of type 2 and type 1. This is why, if you struggle with acne, you want to avoid all foods that contribute to insulin resistance (namely sugar and grains), not just the gluten-containing grains. The best way to know if you are insulin/leptin resistant is to measure your fasting insulin level. If it is below 3, you are not likely resistant. However, if you are overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, or abnormal cholesterol levels, it is likely that you have some element of insulin/leptin resistance and you would likely benefit from restricting your intake of sugars and grains until the conditions resolve. You'll be happy to know that simply eliminating grains, sugars (particularly fructose), cereals, potatoes, corn, rice, pasta, processed foods, etc., radically improves acne for most people. Fruit contains a fair amount of fructose, so it should be consumed in limited quantities if you are predisposed to acne. Or, at least focus on the low-sugar, high-nutrient-dense fruits like berries. And fruit juices should be strictly avoided since the sugar is very concentrated in them, without the buffering effect of fiber, pectin, and other food cofactors present in whole, raw, organic fruit. Fresh vegetable juices are great, though, especially green juices, as are most vegetables, which are slow to break down into simple sugars, with minimal insulin impact. Why Optimizing Your Gut Health May Help with Acne When you clean up your diet as described above, your gut health will naturally improve. You can further support it by consumingfermented foods regularly, to encourage the growth of beneficial microorganisms, which will benefit your skin health in multiple ways. For starters, signals from your gut microorganisms are sent throughout your body and interact with organisms in your skin and gut mucosa. Researchers are looking into how these interactions can help with skin conditions like dryness, improve collagen, or stabilize the microflora on your skin to help with irritations. As noted by researchers in Gut Pathogens:7 "The lines of communication, as mediated by gut microbes, may be direct and indirect -- ultimately influencing the degree of acne by a systemic effect on inflammation, oxidative stress, glycemic control, tissue lipid levels, pathogenic bacteria, as well as levels of neuropeptides and mood-regulating neurotransmitters. …there appears to be more than enough supportive evidence to suggest that gut microbes, and the integrity of the gastrointestinal tract itself, are contributing factors in the acne process." Another interesting connection is via your emotional health, as stress may, too, cause acne via your gut-brain connection. Research by dermatologists John Stokes and Donald Pillsbury conducted more than 70 years posited that your emotions could alter the microflora in your intestines, which could therefore contribute to systemic inflammation that could exacerbate acne and other skin conditions. In 2011, researchers validated this connection, noting:8 "Experimental studies show that psychological stress stagnates normal small intestinal transit time, encourages overgrowth of bacteria, and compromises the intestinal barrier. SIBO [small intestinal bacterial over growth] is strongly associated with depression and anxiety, while eradication of SIBO improves emotional symptoms. Although the frequency of SIBO in acne vulgaris has not yet been investigated, a recent report indicates that SIBO is 10 times more prevalent in those with acne rosacea vs. healthy controls. Correction of SIBO leads to marked clinical improvement in patients with rosacea." Controlling Acne Takes a Whole-Body Approach Your skin is your body's largest organ, and an organ of elimination (e.g. sweating), which is why problems on its surface are often a sign of underlying issues. Your complexion is a reflection of your overall health, which is why topical (or worse, systemic) acne drugs will not heal the problem (and may result in serious side effects). Treating acne takes a whole-body approach that will nourish and heal your skin from the inside out, so don't forget to incorporate these essential factors into your acne-busting plan: • Avoid starchy carbs, sugars/fructose, and grains: This is probably the single most important step you can take to improve your skin health. If you eliminate all sugars, fructose, and grains for a few weeks there is a major likelihood you will notice rapid improvement in your complexion. Replace these foods with healthy fats, like avocados, olives, olive oil, coconut oil, and butter. Be sure to check out my nutrition plan for a simple guide on how to eat right for healthy skin and overall health. • Water: Drink plenty of fresh, pure water every day. Hydrating your body facilitates cell growth and regeneration, elimination of wastes, and sloughing away dead skin cells. Hydration will also improve your skin tone. Every day, drink enough water so that your urine is a pale yellow color. If your urine is bright yellow, you probably need to drink more water (unless you take B vitamins, which themselves turn urine bright yellow). • Exercise: Getting plenty of high-intensity exercise helps your body flush out toxins, including those in your skin's pores. Plus, exercise is vitally important to all other aspects of your heath. If you happen to have access to an infrared sauna, this can be helpful too, because the more you sweat, the more you flush unwanted debris and contaminants out of your pores. • Sleep: Did you know that a good night's sleep can decrease your stress and lead to clearer skin? Your body's main time for healing and rebuilding is at night while you sleep, and this applies to your skin. • Proper balance of bacteria: You can reestablish your bacterial balance by incorporating naturally fermented/cultured foods and raw foods (which contain living beneficial bacteria) into your diet and/or taking a high-quality probiotic supplement. This is especially important if you have been on antibiotics, because these drugs indiscriminately kill off the beneficial bacteria in your gut, without which you cannot have a strong immune system. • Vitamin D: This important nutrient is crucial for maintaining a healthy immune response, and most people are deficient in it. Without adequate vitamin D, your body cannot fight infection, in your skin or elsewhere. Exposing large areas of your skin to appropriate amounts of sunshine is the best way to optimize your vitamin D levels, or alternatively use a safe tanning bed. • Animal-based omega-3 fats: Omega-3 fats help to normalize skin lipids and prevent dehydration in the cells. This keeps skin cells strong and full of moisture, which can help to decrease the appearance of fine lines. Fatty acid deficiency can manifest in a variety of ways, but skin problems such as eczema, thick patches of skin, and cracked heels are common. Plus, omega-3 fats may have an anti-inflammatory effect that can help to calm irritated skin, giving you a clear, smooth complexion. • Address your stress: My favorite tool is the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT. EFT involves tapping your body's energy meridians with the tips of your fingers to clear emotional blocks, thus restoring balance to your mind and body. EFT is a powerful de-stressing technique that is easy for adults and children to learn. You can also add in other proven stress-busters, such as yoga and meditation. • All-natural acne fighter: Rubbing just a drop of oregano oil on a breakout can speed up the healing and prevent unsightly scarring without resorting to harsh commercial acne medication (remember to wash your hands thoroughly afterward).

I have been using amino acids and homeopathic medicine in my practice to help patients with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, ADD and endocrine related symptoms. After I concluded one year of research exploring neurotransmitter testing via urine, saliva and serum, I was going to include neurotransmitter testing as part of myNuFem Five Element Panel.
However, it became clear that it would be very costly for consumers without insurance reimbursement and that the methodology itself seemed to be shaky ie no “published” papers on the efficacy of urine neurotransmitter testing. Therefore, I will not offer neurotransmitter testing until documented before and after studies are released by the laboratories offering this service.

Using Homeopathy to help Balance Neurotransmitters and Hormones

The birth of a new homeopathic FDA approved formula (NeuroBalance) to help balance neurotransmitters and hormones has been in the research and development stage for some time. It will be available by August 2004 and will include safe-homeopathic remedies to help balance neurotransmitters.
NeuroBalance neurotransmitter balancing homeopathic formula will help heal endocrine issues but also other symptoms listed below, and will be available within 60 days. If you are asking yourself, how one formula can address all neurotransmitters; due to the fact that some neurotransmitters are probably functioning normally, the remedy will only effect the ones that are not in balance. That is the gift of homeopathic medicine; the body selects the remedy (or frequency) it needs and the other remedies that are not required will not work if the body / brain does not need them.
Unlike amino acids (used to balance neurotransmitters), which can have uncomfortable and sometimes serious side-effects takes constant monitoring; my new homeopathic formula has no side effects and is only needed short term. As you may know, homeopathy is called energy medicine because it only carries the energy of a substance imprinted in water.
Next question to ask yourself: Am I totally committed to becoming healthier than ever been before? Will I follow recommendations according to a personalized assessment? If the answer is YES, and you are ready to regain your vitality and health; this is the program for you.
I invite you to learn about the 9 causes of endocrine breakdown. I believe that education is power. You can review my presentation on the home page. Just click on the heart on home page and you will learn what health professionals learn but without a lot of medical jargon.
You must first find out the cause of your symptoms by taking the NuFem Five Element Salivary Test. Then you will need to get your endocrine system back in shape. Towards that end, you receive along with your results a program; recommendations to balance hormones using homeopathy, diet and nutrition, along with nutritional, and lifestyle recommendations. The new neurotransmitter formula, NeuroBalance, is also recommended to address any imbalances causing adrenal cortisol burnout and the symptoms listed below.
NuFem Saliva testing is the most comprehensive test due to the specimen times correlating to the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine. This means that each time of the day or night that you give a saliva specimen is specifically connected to an organ, gland, emotion and meridian. My hormone panel includes: Progesterone, Estradiol, 6 cortisol levels (testing all Five Elements in Acupuncture’s Five Element Theory), DHEA, and Testosterone.
For more information about endocrine breakdown go to the home page (www.wellnesscenter.net) click on Articles then click on “Toxic Levels of Natural and Synthetic Hormones Diagnostic Protocol for Rejuvenation“. You will see the causes of endocrine breakdown, such as adrenals stress, hysterectomy, HRT, natural hormones, environmental toxins, dental health problems and more.

Neurotransmitters

Lets learn more about neurotransmitters and how our brain is affected in stressful situations. If your neurotransmitters are out of balance it can cause hormonal problems, adrenal stress, insomnia, weight gain and depression. You see abnormal neurotransmitter levels can easily affect hormonal balance and stress levels. In handling stress, the brain uses large quantities of certain chemicals called Neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters induce or inhibit impulses in your brain. At some point, the amount of stress we endure causes the brain to run out of these chemicals.
Neurotransmitter-related disorders occur when the current levels of neurotransmitters are unable to properly relay the electric signal from one neuron to the next. What causes this, you ask? Neurotoxic substances like heavy metals, pesticides, illicit amphetamines, and some prescription drugs can cause permanent damage to the nervous system by reducing the number of active receptors.
The human brain is very capable of automatically manufacturing the quantity of chemicals it needs IF it is given the raw materials (nutrients from foods) to do so.
However, because of the number of daily stressful situations and the world we live in, a normal diet does not supply enough of the raw materials the brain needs to manufacture enough of these chemicals, or Neurotransmitters, that the brain needs to function normally. With the amount of multi-tasking, which I call modern stress, that our bodies face every single day would have to consume approximately the following amounts of food. Sixteen pounds of fish, Two gallons of whole milk, Two to three pounds of cheese, One to two pounds of turkey, each and every stress filled day, just to keep our neurotransmitter levels normal. On the other hand, we could accomplish the same thing by taking homeopathic neurotransmitters in a powerful yet gently formula and/or free form amino acids. The problem that I seen over the past 25 years with amino acids is that they can have side-effects. Even if the amino acid is testing using kinesiology or electrodermal screening, it can cause stomach upset, nausea and dizziness. The body changes very quickly so any patient using amino acids for neurotransmitter balance may need constant monitoring.
Many apparently unrelated symptoms are influenced by the effects of neurotransmitters and optimizing neurotransmitters can improve many of the following symptoms.

Neurotransmitter Related Symptoms

·         Fatigue and chronic muscle/joint pain
·         Adrenal cortisol burnout
·         Alzheimer’s/ memory problems
·         Inappropriate hunger/food cravings
·         Irritability/hostility
·         Inability to focus/concentrate
·         Depression or agitation
·         Excessive body fat
·         Obsessive/compulsive behaviors
·         Sleep disturbances: insomnia
·         Physical or emotional stress
·         Recurrent diarrhea /constipation
·         Headaches
·         ADD
·         ADHD
·         Parkinson’s Disease
·         Bipolar Conditions
Laboratory evaluation of neurotransmitter levels has shown that approximately 70% of the population has some degree of neurotransmitter imbalance. An alarming figure confirmed by the increase in the number of patient visits regarding these conditions, as well as the number of prescriptions written for antidepressants and the growing number of obese people who cannot combat their weight due to a lack of appetite control.
Neurotransmitter levels are affected by stress, lifestyle, genetics, and diet.

How are our bodies damaged by chemicals released by our own brain?

The body responds to emotional stress exactly like it responds to physical danger or stress. Your body produces chemicals for extra strength or energy. This chemical reaction to stress is a physiological process that has evolved over millions of years.
Moreover, the brain is reacting to today’s problems with yesterday’s primitive responses. In our history books we get the picture of times where our stressors related to engaging in physical battle to stay alive, to eat, to provide for oneself and family. Then stress was primarily physical – when cavemen actually fought wild animals. Today we have modern stress, which is a different nature. We don’t do physical battle with wild beasts, we do mental battle with freeway traffic, unending meetings, or jobs that have no future.
The body has to pump high energy, but today we need more of it. Yet, the body still pumps high-energy chemicals (those needed in running or fighting) into our bodies and yet, our fight or flight is quite different. We sit in our cars or at our desk, actually boiling in the chemicals our own body has released. These chemicals, called adrenaline and dopamine, which power the “fight or flight” alarm reaction, can do great damage to all the internal organs, especially the heart.

Can our brain run out of these precious chemicals?

The feelings of anger, love, frustration, and fear are all chemically induced from the brain from our reactions to situations.
When our brain runs out of these chemicals or when different chemical levels decrease or increase, we experience things like anger, lack of sleep, irritability, anxiety, depression, insecure feelings and fear, not to mention the constant release of adrenaline, which can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, gastrointestinal disease and dozens of other problems. (Over 75% of all medical appointments made in America are directly related to stress caused illnesses.)
There are 5 main chemicals or neurotransmitters in the brains emotion center. They are Opioids, GABA, Serotonin, Dopamine and Norepinepherine. When these chemicals are low, a dangerous cycle begins within our bodies. This is called the Stress Cycle and the damage it causes is deadly. Since amino acids can have so many side effects, I have formulated a safe-effective homeopathic formula addressing all neurotransmitter imbalances.

Can we replace the chemicals our brains need?

Absolutely, nutrition, homeopathic hormone rejuvenation and lifestyle will make the difference.
Lets end with a new awareness of our body, the importance of our brain and its chemicals and a new way to get healthy.
I encourage you to learn more about your body, perform the NuFem Five Element salivary hormone test and set a course for optimum health through the program you will receive. I personally assess the results of your test and email or mail your program.
